"Yeah I don't like to talk."

"You're very quiet," she said. Conversation with this girl was not an easy task.

"Yeah..."

"Odd that I haven't seen you then," she said, "I've been here just over a year. Of course, I don't get out much, so I shouldn't be surprised."

"I'm Lith, short for Litharukia." She looked between them. "You two new around here?"

"Oh I'm Hitori... And you are?"
Hitori looked at John.

"And you?" she asked the girl.

Her black bangs half-covered one of her blue eyes. She smiled. Her skin was pale, her lips dark, everything about her screamed Goth, right down to the black skinny jeans and the leather corset-top. Even her nails were black.

/And here's one of us. I thought most of them were gone./

Hitori stood there silently "..."

John stayed silent and sat down. "Sorry, I'm not much of a talker."

"..." HItori looked at John. Wow he really is shy...

"John." He said looking at Nikki.

Lith looked at the boy.

"You. What is your name?"

John just stayed quiet, shyness kicking in.

Lith walked onto the shore and saw the two of them. She recognized one of her Own at once.

/A vampire here? Intriguing. We are few now./

She walked up to the two.

"Hello," she said. Her voice was rather deep. She smiled.

"Wow...That's surprising..." She smiled.

"Then I'm fresh out of evil plans."

"Picture your mother in a thong." John said trying not to laugh.

"Because I showed up right in front of you."

John came up right in front of her and became visible. "Scared?"

She spun around. "Where are you? This isn't very fair."

John went invisible and snuck up behind her."Boo." he whispered in her ear as he got close.

"Hey, Wait up." She said as she started running to where she thought John was.

" Well, this can be interesting." John moved so quickly that he couldn't be seen. "I like this."

"Uh huh..." She said sarcastically. She smiled at him. "Face it your a vampire..."

"Well you don't lust blood every day and grow fangs." John looked as he realized he had fangs.

"So you never believed in them but you think that you are one..." She looked confused. "How does that work?"

"I dont know, i never believed in them, but I think I am one."

" I dont know, that person that bit me did something to me, I have felt a lot stronger and I have been wanting blood lately... It can't be, they dont exist."

"Thanks."

"I am, i dont know, i seem to be able to talk to you, but I'm usually shy."

"I am the shy type though, I don't talk much, I'm afraid to stand up for myself."

"How can you fight back in a school filled with people making fun of you? they all stick together and if i fought back, they would just gang up on me."

"I know, I am not that well off." John closed his eyes. "I don't know how i lived through it, they used to always call me some poor scrub. I moved cause i couldn't take it, i was getting beat up all the time."

"There wasnt much, people don't talk much, they are mostly rich kids , i didn't fit in."

"Thats true."

"Well this city it polluted and looks horrid, but it is exiting."
